Collard Greens, Fat Back, Cheese Biscuits, too
Served up with new red boiled potatoes will do
Baked Ham, Red Eye Gravy on a plate so fine
Don't forget Homemade Banana Pudding every time
Some say you gotta have potato salad hot,
I say "Ain't no such thing coming from my pot"
Fresh cucumbers, tomatoes in a little tart vinegar
Right smart deviled eggs won't be sinister
Corn bread broke up in a cold bowl of milk
Tastes better than pastries wrapped in silk
Finish off the meal with another glass of sweet iced tea
Just Like I love it, no lemon for me
Side dish of molasses mixed in with peanut butter
"Yes, that's what I said, I didn't stutter!"
